Mercy Airlift - WE HAVE HELPED around the world

In 1972 Mercy Airlift was in Africa providing daily flights feeding the starving people of Ethiopia.  We were there for more than 2 years feeding the people in Africa at the feeding stations in remote parts of the country.  Mercy Airlift provided assistance in 1976 to victims of the massive earthquake, which killed more than 30,000 people in Guatemala.  During the tsunami in Asia in 2004, Mercy Airlift provided foods, clothing, water drilling equipment, medicines and volunteers to assist in the recovery efforts.  Mercy Airlift provided medical equipment, medicines, foods and rebuilding equipment to victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita in the United States.  Of these disasters, thousands were lost, yet many were saved because of the efforts or Mercy Airlift and the volunteers of Mercy Airlift.

Mercy Airlift has helped thousands upon thousands of people in life threatening situations by courageous volunteers of Mercy Airlift in countries like Ethiopia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Congo, Nicaragua, Peru, Philippines, and Tongan Islands. Uganda and Zimbabwe, as well as people in North America including Mexico, the United States and Canada.

6. Knowing what materials and supplies are needed at different disasters.

At the first notice of a disaster, personnel at the locations or near the disaster areas are usually able to let us know what type of disaster has occurred, and what the extent or the damage is.  Word continually flows to us as the hours press on and it is clearer as to what the exact needs are.  Mercy Airlift is already in the planning stages and is aware of the types of supplies needed to meet the disaster.  Mercy Airlift is in total Operational Mode at this point continuing to receive updated information from the field and from the first responders and Mercy Airlift is then securing the supplies from our warehouses or we are securing supplies from additional suppliers.
